my ex dumped me when i was three months pregnant

I am eight months pregnant and my ex keeps calling me telling me that he wants full custody of our unborn child. He says he is talking to an attorney and his attorney told him that he could have custody of our unborn child. Could that be done? What should i do, should i wait until my child is born? Where can i find a no cost attorney in north county california?

Barring some unusual circumstances that would render you unfit as a mother, you should have no trouble maintaining custody. You may want to breast feed as he cannot perform that task, and it will give one more reason for limiting his contact with the baby. Consider taking a parenting class to improve your parenting skills. You should consult with an attorney to determine the possibility of getting a court order that he pay your attorney fees.
