Legal Question in Family Law in California
What is th edefinition of ''reasonable visitation'' ?
My x girlfriend was granted sole legal and physical custody of my daughter 3 years ago with reasonable visitation given to me. There was no set schedule given by the courts for my visitation time. Since this started she has allowed me to see my daughter 1x a week for a few hours in the presense of her or her new husband. This is the only way I am able to see my daughter and I was never ordered by the courts to need supervised visits. It seems like it is a control issue on my x's behalf and I cannot afford an attorney to return to court to establish a schedule to see my daughter any suggestions ? Please help!!

California requires the parties to go to mediation before going to trial regarding custody and visitation. Mediation is provided by the court at little or no cost. Contact the court to determine the procedure for commencing mediation.
If mom does not cooperate the court may order her to pay for your attorney fees and costs.
The local bar association may have a program to provide you with an inexpensive initital 1/2 hour consultation. This will provide you with information regarding local court practices and mediation.
