Legal Question in Family Law in California

My elderly neighbors daughter has been divorced since the kids were infants. Dad remarried a 20 year old and had 2 more kids. He recently told his 1st two sons, now ages 10 & 14, that he no longer has time for them and does not want to participate in their lives. He lives closeby. I told my friend the kids should sue him for alienation of affection.

In Los Angeles County.

Someone would have to do this pro bono but what are their chances? It's certainly not for money although that's always a bonus, but this bastard should have this story published and he should suffer unbelievable humiliation. And the kids would have at least satisfaction in a no win situation.

The kids have no legally recognized cause of action against him. Alienation of affection back before it was abolished, was only available to the innocent spouse in an extramarital affair situation. It no longer even exists anyway. The only "price" the law can make him pay is she can get his visitation cut to zero, which will jack up his child support payments.
