Legal Question in Family Law in California
Are we eligible to for Summary Dissolution?
My husband's paralegal says that we are eligible for a Summary Dissolution despite the fact that I own a house. I bought the house before the marriage. I continued to make all of the house payments throughout the marriage from my personal checking account. We did not comingle any of our funds or accounts.
The Summary Dissolution form clearly states that if either person owns real property they may not use the form.
Can we use it or not?
Thank you.

If either of you has an ownership interest in "land or buildings" you do not qualify for the Summary Dissolution.
Our paralegals are supervised by an experienced family law lawyer with over 30 years experience.
I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
