emancepation

female 16 years old with 8 month old child was a ward of the court and has been emancepated, does she still get welfare for rent, food and child care? If she will live with a relivate, will they or she get financial support from the state until she is employed?

Re: emancepation

Upon being emancipated the minor become an adult for legal purposes. The public assistance for your child would go to you. This money should be used for the support and care of your child, rent, food, clothing and other necessities for the the child. The money is not for you to spend on youself for interainment. You now have to accept adult responsibilities. If you don't accept those responsibilities you may lose your child through adoption, and the welfare for the child will be gone also.
