Legal Question in Family Law in California

Emergency change in custody

My ex husband is wanted by the police for growing pot in his home and is now in hiding. He turned his 800 sq ft master bedroom into a pot farm in the house that he lived in with the kids 50% of the time. They have now been with me full time and I need to change the court orders for custody and support. Can this be done with out physically serving him? (He might have left the country)

Thank you for any advice.

Re: Emergency change in custody

You should go to court and seek an emergency order based upon the new found evidence. A copy of the police report would be helpful. An attorney can help you file the proper paperwork.

Please contact a qualified attorney before you take any action.
