Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am a self employeed dad with 50/50 custody of our 15yr old son, my ex-wife is demanding that i pay 1/2 of the expenses from haircuts, lunch money to medical treatments. do i have the legal right to ask for all the tests done, results and "therapy" sessions my son is going through before i consider paying anything to her?

If there is a child support order, you are already paying for most of those expenses, and she has no right to double dip like that. The only exceptions are medical/dental expenses that are not paid by insurance (NOT insurance premiums; those are allocated separately in support orders and calculations), "necessary" or agreed educational expenses, and day care so that the parents can work or seek work. Those specific expenses are split 50/50. Requests for reimbursement must be submitted within 30 days of when the charges are incurred and require reasonable proof of when incurred and what for. If you have joint legal custody, you have a right to copies of all medical records of any kind, and should go directly to the care provider for that.
