Legal Question in Family Law in California

Employer failure to make child support payments

My ex-husband is currently having his wages garnished for child support. His employer takes the money out of his check every month and is suppose to forward it to the Santa Cruz Child Support Services. In return, they issue me a check twice a month.

The employer has been failing to send the money to the above agency which is behind in three months. A total of $1200.00. This has definitely put me in a financial burden, along with alot of stress.

What course of legal action can I take or do I have? Please provide me some type of reference.

Thanks for help.

Re: Employer failure to make child support payments

Contact the district attorney's office and report this conduct. His employer may be having financial problems. Withholding money and then not forwarding it to the child support agency is a form of theft.
