Legal Question in Family Law in California

End of Spousal Support

I am having difficulty understanding a section on spousal support in my divorce papers. It states that I shall pay until November 30, 2003, at which time the amount of spousal support shall be reduced to a jurisdictional level.

What does this mean? Can I stop paying?

Thank you

In a general sense, reduced to a jurisdictional level means support drops to zero, but the court retains jurisdiction to modify it further.

If you have questions or require a specific opinion, I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
