Legal Question in Family Law in California

Endless Alimony

My husband was married for 16 years, that ended up in divorce in L.A. court 11 years ago. His ex wife was awarded child support which expired 5 years ago, however alimony was to continue until further order of the court. He has been paying alimony now for 11 years, and the ex wife, of course does not want it to ever end. She has worked a full time job, the same job since a year before her divorce, and has all job related benefits. Her house which was given to her in the divorce has appreciated 500% since it became hers. How is it possible to end this alimony. She will never jump off the money train willingly. Must my husband pay her forever, as she seems to beoieve she is entitles to?

Re: Endless Alimony

Generally she is not entitled to anymore spousal support by law. I would need to review the Marital Settlement Agreement. Call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
