Legal Question in Family Law in California

Enforcing child support

My childrens father is currently behind 12,000 $ in child support. He is working under the table for his step father. I have a wage assignment order. Are there any other steps that I can take to enforce or retrieve my child support?

Re: Enforcing child support

Immediately contact the district attorney or the child social services department in your community. They will, on your behalf, get him to pay. Good luck and thanks for inquiring.

Re: Enforcing child support

Sure. Get a wage assignment order against his stepfather. You can also take him back to court for contempt and he could even be sent to jail until he starts paying.
