Legal Question in Family Law in California

enforcing court order

I have an open case against my ex, the judge has issued a warrant for him, but he lives in California and I live in Illinois. If I wanted to enforce the warrant or the orders in our divorce, what would I need to do in California to do so?

Re: enforcing court order

You can register the order in California and enforce the order as any California order would be enforced. Talk to a California attorney in the county where your ex lives. The attorney should do family law and collection. Good Luck, Pat McCrary

It depends upon the type of order. Some orders may be enforced by a contempt hearing. Contact me directly.
