Legal Question in Family Law in California

enforcing minute order

In my divorce settlement, I was awarded a life insurance policy on my husband, I had been paying for it during our separation and divorce, and I was awarded part of a retirement account that I had to obtain a QDRO for, which I've done, but he is refusing to sign either, unless I sign over some stocks, which were an unnamed asset. Is there something I can file to compel him to sign these? The QDRO has been approved by all necessary parties and is just awaiting his signature. The life insurance ownership is stated in the minute order.

Re: enforcing minute order

You can go ex-parte to have the QDRO approved by the judge. Also, an elisor can be appointed to sign the other documents that he refuses to sign. You should bring a motion to divide the ommitted asset. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
