Legal Question in Family Law in California

Enforcing the MSA

My wife and I signed an MSA at which I'm to get our children every other weekend. On the first weekend that I was to have them, she failed to show up at the meeting place. In the msa, it states that this a catagory ''D'' felony. What exactly is that and who can I call to ensure this doesn't occur again. We were divorced in the Nevada Courts system, but we both now live in California, and have been residing here for approx. 6 months.

Re: Enforcing the MSA

The failure to have the children available for a visit occurred in California. This it would appear that California law would apply. You should register the NV order with the superior court in the county in which your children reside. Then you can file a motion for Contempt of court is she fails to follow through with visitation.
