Engagement rings
My fianc�e and I called it quits after almost three years of being engaged. I asked for the ring back and she said that she would like to keep it. I was wonder who is entitled to have the ring?
She lives in California and I�m from Pennsylvania but am in the Marine Corps and over seas at the moment. We I asked her to marry me in California.

Generally under California law, which would apply since she lives here and the engagement was entered here. If she broke off the engagement you get the ring back. If you broke off the engagement, she keeps the ring. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
