Legal Question in Family Law in California

My entitlement after filing for divorce

I filed for divorce in the early 90's and paid in full at the time of my filing, using a do-it-yourself pkg. I completed all requirements ex- cept getting a court date. Several years later, my husband, who lived in a different county hired a paralegal to complete the divorce. The para- informed me that for economy purposes they would leave the filing as is "me" petitioning for divorce against my husband, etc. I understand that the divorce was final this year--however have been unable to get a copy of the final decree. The paralegal ignores my phone calls and will not respond to my letters. Should I be entitled to a copy--since I paid for it and was the petitioner of record?

Go to the court and the clerk will make you a copy for fifty cents.
