entitlement to half of Malpractice award awarded during marriage
Am I entilted to half of the large malpractice award which has been awarded during our three year marriage? I am seeking the divorce and have already seperated from the marriage.The marriage was performed in Ca. & we reside in Ca.

In California, generally the proceeds of a civil judgment are considered community property [and thus 1/2 is yours] if the cause of action arose during your marriage and before separation.
