Legal Question in Family Law in California

In the environment of an existing divorce (since 1996), does the pregnancy of a 16 year old dependant (17 years old in June, 2010) cause the emancipation of that child for purposes of court ordered child support payable by the non-custodial parent?

If not, are there statutes that facilitate petition of the court to compel emancipation of the child for purposes of sesation of child support to the custodial parent?

You can't compel a child to be emanicpated. Only if they want to be and the parents consent can a child be emancipated. You can't just kick your 16 year old out into the world with nothing just because you don't feel like supporting them anymore..
