Legal Question in Family Law in California

Establishing child custody,

I am a single parent of a 9 year old, never married. But dad has child about 50% of the time. Finacial problems are arising, dad does not support him in a way I think he should. Cloths, medical.... our aggreements have all been verbal. We do not have any legal or court arrangements. What are my chances of getting custody? Dad is unemployed, due to poor communication, problems are coming up in regard to school, finacial... I want sole custody, but I don't know if I would have a case at all because of our history.

Re: Establishing child custody,

it sounds like you might have a good case but the only way to know for sure is to roll the dice and file the papers.
