re establishing living arrangments

we have been married 8 years and decided to get divorced, I am going to need to get on my feet and he offered to take custody of the kids while i did bootcamp,we also agreed to joint custody when I am established.. what can I do to avoid abandoment charges?

You can maintain contact with the children by telephone, mail and personal contact. You should also consider that if your husband has the children live with him as the primary custodial parent he will have an advantage in the future. the court normally does not change custody if the children are doing well. By leaving the children with him while you get back on your feet you may be giving him custody in the future.
