exhusband files case claiming i owe income tax money to him

husband was arrested lost rental home. he was sole bread winner. 2 months later recieved husbands income taxcheck was told by him to pay off moneys owed and to use rest for living exspenses all money used. 12 months later filed for divorce 6 months later finalized. 4 months later case filed against me claiming half of income tax moneys is owed to him. as stated all moneys used to pay past due utility bills , room and board + utility bills, food exspenses and for transpartation while looking for employment. husband is still in jail to date. rather pay lawyer to fight if case can be won? do i have a chance ? good? Bad? none?
