Legal Question in Family Law in California

My ex-husband will be ordered to pay one half of child care at our hearing in late June. Will the courts make this retroactive to cover the child care I've had to pay while I was working in the meantime?

The courts can, and generally do, make the order retroactive to the date that you filed your motion. In some cases it can be earlier, but this is the exception.
