Legal Question in Family Law in California
My ex's "friend" called cps on me alleging neglect of my two children, 8 and 9 1/2, saying i leave them alone all night and go to work. This is absolutely untrue. CPS came to my home, did inspection and told me they were not going to write it up. My ex's friend, for the past 3 years has tried and succeeded in causing problems for me. What do I do?

This is a clear case of harassment. You should consider going to your local civil court to file an action against him. If this has been a repeated behavior as you say, the charges could be very serious. Perhaps he is not aware of how serious this is. I would suggest you write him a very clear and unemotional letter (so you have a record of warning him) advising him that you will not tolerate anymore of this harassment and abuse. You might want to speak to your local police as well as a word from them to him might stop this nonsense fast. Do not tolerate this behavior any more. IF this is allowed to continue he might up the stakes to even more serious allegations causing you, in turn, some serious problems.
