Legal Question in Family Law in California

Extending health insurance benefits to a spouse via errisa rules and a Guadro.

Does the Health and Welfare section of the Erissa rules allow for extending health insurance benefits to a spouse in a dissolution agreement either through a Qualified Domestics Relations Order or any other allowable document?

If so, how do I find an attorney or expert who is experienced in drafting this document?

The only way to extend medical benefits for a spouse is to delay the dissolving of the marriage.

The alternative is for the non covered spouse to exercise the COBRA rights. This allows the non covered spouse to maintain medical coverage bypaying the premiums on the medical insurance. These premiums are often very high as they include both the employer contribution and the employee contribution toward the premium.
