Legal Question in Family Law in California

Ex-Wife bounces child support checks

It was a mutual agreement between her and I as to how much she pays every month. We sent the agreement to family law to have it approved by the judge. the past 2 months she has been bouncing the checks. Instead of dealing with this I'd rather send it to the DA's office. Can I have a wage assignment sent to her employer? what forms will I need and do we have to appear in front of a judge to do this?

Rather than going to the DA to get a wage assignment, go to the facilitator's office and ask them to help you prepare the wage assignment. That way the funds will come directly to you from her employer. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
