Legal Question in Family Law in California

What exactly falls into the Community Property categroy ?

My husband of 27 years is seeking a separation. My specific question has to do with bank accounts. Prior to now, we had his saving and checking (joint) and my saving and checking (joint) acounts and my older daugter's checking account linked so that we could easily transfer funds between the accounts on line. I noticed a few days ago that he had taken over $1,000 out of his savings account, leaving about $10.00 in it. Today the account no longer shows up on line at all. Are bank accounts considered community property whether or not they are joint ?

Generally speaking, yes. This assumes that the money in the bank accounts was earned during the marriage.
