Legal Question in Family Law in California

False complaint to CPS

I let a friend live w/me&I kicked her out.She made a vindictive call to CPS saying I have an alcohol prob.CPS came to my home&asked to talk to my kids.I researched my legal rights&discussed it w/my ex whos an officer.I told CPS that while I understood it was their job to protect kids we wanted to be sure to follow the legal channels put in place for matters like this to protect our family also.I asked her to provide me w/a court order&I'd be happy to let her talk to my kids in the presence of my ex.Understanding I could'nt be present,I also knew it was well within my rights to have someone I trust present during the questioning of my minor kids. She cancelled our appointment,12/28,&I heard nothing until I picked up my 6 year old fm school today&she gave me a card&said CPS came&asked her questions about her life.I've nothing to hide but she ignored my rights by ignoring my request to do everything about the claim by the book.Do I have a valid argument about this?Don't I have legal rights too when one makes a false accusation that could result in my kids being taken away?I wasn't denying access to my kids,I jst asked for something I've every right to ask for.I respect CPS has a job to do,but so do I as a parent protecting my family
