Legal Question in Family Law in California

false imformation on a our divorce judgement

My question is when my x-husband represented himself when filing for a divorce against me. They asked him for his social security number....

He gave a false one. The false social security number is on the divorce decree judgement instead of his right social security number....

Does this false imformation of his social security number on the final divorce judgement papers make this a legal divorce, or a illegal divorce...

This divorce took place in placer county

Re: false imformation on a our divorce judgement

First this has no bearing on the divorce, if you have a judgment it's valid. Second, a Social Security Number is not only not required for entry of divorce judgment, it should never be included. If there are children, the ss # may be included on the Child Support Registry court form, but that's not a part of the judgment, it's meant for support enforcement and is supposed to be kept in a confidential part of the file.
