Legal Question in Family Law in California
I would like a Family Law attorney (divorce) in Sacramento County that I can work with over the phone. Do you know anyone that is willing to work with me under those conditions?

Many attorneys do that, at least up to a point. I had one client who I represented for a year and a half, all the way up to the week before trial, without ever meeting, because she was in Chicago and the case was in Orange County. I had another client in the Philippines who I handled a Federal Miller Act bond case for against the contractor and bonding company here in Federal court. In both cases, we did everything by phone, fax and Internet. Sooner or later, however, the client is going to have to show up for a hearing, deposition, or some other proceeding. So unless the case settles quickly and all the lawyers do is negotiate a little and then document the agreements, it is virtually impossible to handle a case start to finish without ever being face to face with your lawyer.
I am an attorney based in Sacramento, CA. Typically, a good amount of communication occurs by phone and email as a case moves forward. I am representing a client right now who is overseas on active military duty. I agree with Mr. McCormick that at some point, the need for personal contact is likely to arise. Please feel free to contact my office for assistance.
