Legal Question in Family Law in California

My boyfriend and I have been together for sixteen years and have only lived together for the last 8 months, prior to the last 8 months I have lived in my own home. I have not worked except to do odds and end jobs for him. He has paid all my living expenses, absolutely everything for 16 years, we have a 13 year old son together, my question is if we were to seperate would I be entitled to anything besides child support?? He makes a very good living.
