If one side tells the courts they will inform the other side of the dates of trial and send them the wrong dates, if the second party doesn't show up on the proper date, can the judge throw out the case?

Maybe, you would have to show the court that your failure to show was the result of inadvertence, surprise or excusable neglect on your part.
