Legal Question in Family Law in California

is there a family law that allows us to not contact the biological father to adopt my grandchild. He raped my daughter and my daughter is agreeing to us adopting him.

Unfortunately, father must be served a notice of your legal action unless there is a court order not requiring this due process step.
