Legal Question in Family Law in California

Family Law

I inheritated a portion of my Father's Deferred Comp Plan (Missouri). I live in California. If I divorce my husband, will he be entitled to 1/2 of the funds in the plan. His name is not on the account. I have not taken any withdrawals from this account.

Property gained by inheritance is separate property and therefore yours. He does not have a claim. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
