family law

i have joint custidy of my son and he lives with me. we have joint decision making. my son wants to be emacipated, can i do that without his fathers consent?

From a practical standpoint, no you can't do it without Father's consent or a court order to show that the child has been living independantly. Good Luck, Pat McCrary

Typically, this will not require either parent's consent. A judge will have to rule on a motion brought by your child.
