My ex And I seperated When our son was 4 years old .I was the who left the realionship. I let him have physical cus. He decided to leave the state with.I did have my son every summer paid for by me. and kept his insurance. When my son was 13 years of age my began having a lot of problems with our son.So he sent me him when he was 13.He had never ask for child support.And we were still married when he sent him.There was no court order for me to pay support.When I did Devrce him I was granted 300.00 dollars a month child support. And of course he didn't pay So now he tells me the state of Idao is going to sue me for back support if I don't drop the caseaganist He owes aprox17,000Can they do that

Probably not. But you would need to provide more detail to determine if another State has jurisdiction over you. It would be worth you time and money to obtain a consultation with an attorney who can also assist you in collecting the support. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
