Legal Question in Family Law in California

My 17 year old son just moved in with my parents and they need legal proof that he is staying for college, license, and insurance. Is there a cheap and easy way to establish this guardianship? I am in Idaho and they are in California

Your parents would have to file for guardianship. If you do not fight it, it very likely could be handled cost effectively.
