Legal Question in Family Law in California

family law-disposing of assets

is there a ''legal'' waiting period after the notice of entry of judgment has been signed that one must hold onto assets before disposing or selling and if so, isn't the attorney of record supposed to advise his client according to the law? If the attorney conspires with his client to sell assets so his fee can be paid, isn't the attorney acting with malice?

Re: family law-disposing of assets

You should get an attorney of you rown to advise you on the rights you may be missing out on by doing it yourself. The assets should be disposed according to the terms of the judgment.

Good luck.

As always contact an attorney in your area if you have additional questions.
