Legal Question in Family Law in California

family law-transmutation reimbursements

If a spouse holds separate real property, but wished to ''sell'' her equity to her husband, can she expect to be reimbursed once the real property is sold? The only notation of value exchanged is documented by the ''transfer tax'' on the deed which is calculated by the ''valuable consideration deeded to grantee''.
