Legal Question in Family Law in California

Father Not Abiding by Orders

Yesterday, I was given primary physical custody and we share joint legal. My ex was supposed to take our son to school this morning and I am to pick him up. When I spoke with him this morning, he told me that since there is nothing in writing from the judge yet and that he doesn't ''understand'' or ''remember'' the orders, that he will not be taking my son to school this morning and I will not be allowed to pick our kids up from him his evening. what should I do now?

Thank You!

Re: Father Not Abiding by Orders

You should immediately contact your attorney or the court to get the order signed as quickly as possible. In the mean time keep a record of this conduct. His conduct will not be taken lightly by the court. He was in court when the order was made and the court will likely not believe that he did not remember what was in the court order.
