If the father of my child signs over all legal rights, does he still have to pay child support?

Agreements between parents that waive the right to seek child support are unenforceable in California.

I agree with Mr. Roach's answer. But if you have a significant other person, of good character, who wants to assume the rights and obligations of the father - then it can be done.

If you are referring to acquiring an order terminating fathers parental rights, then the obligation to support that child by the bio dad ends.
