Father passed with accounts owed

My father passed away a month ago. He has a few accounts that he owed money on. As his next of kin would i now be responsible for paying off his loans. three credit cards and one vehicle loan. I do not know what to expect.

Re: Father passed with accounts owed

You are not responsible for his debts, but his estate would be responsible, if there is any estate left. A meeting of creditors should file notice of action upon the probate of his estate.

As always please consult an attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck!
