Legal Question in Family Law in California
Me and the father of my son have joint legal custody and I have full physical custody. He has my son for a few hours every Wednesday and every other weekend. He has been arrested again for Driving without a license, no insurance, failure to appears and resisting arrest. He is currently in jail and has a court date in a few days for the resisting arrest. The judge placed a $500,000.00 bail amount. He has been in jail for domestic violence and at one point I had to place a restraining order on him.
The reason I know this is the school called me-letting me know my son has not been picked up yet. I searched the internet and found he was arrested.
The father is irresponsible, has no stable home or job. Does this recent event affect the child custody orders? If not what can I do to shorten the length of stay he has with his father?
Thank you,

Nothing affects the custody orders except a new order. The situation, however, is probably good grounds to get a new revised order. You'll need to file an OSC re: custody modification to change the schedule.
