Legal Question in Family Law in California

Father's requiment forchild health insurance in CA

I am a father living in California and I've been told I need to provide health insurance for my son. I have no problem with this and signed him up for it since birth. The mother wants me to take him off of my insurance since the clinck she takes him to doesn't take my insurance and claims we didn't decided on it. Do I need to provide the insurance and does she need to find a hospital that uses my insurance?

It is wise for you to obtain health insurance for your son since you are responsible for the bills. The mother has not say in where you obtain your insurance. If the court order for child support requires you to purchase insurance and she takes the child to a clinic that does not take your insurance, you pay only one half of what would be paid if she had taken the child to a clinic that accepted your insurance.
