Legal Question in Family Law in California

Father's rights?

How does my husband get in contact with his daughter if other parent has disappeared with daughter and whereabouts are unknown? The last court order (Dec. 90') states every other weekend and 2wks of summer. Is this considered kidnapping? My husband is currently paying childsupport.

Re: Father's rights?

You should contact a private attorney to set a hearing on child sharing. The private attorney can then contact the DA and have the DA serve the papers on the Mother. If he is paying child support someone knows where she is at. Don't expect to enforce the current order immediately, the child will need to get reacquainted with the Father. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
