Legal Question in Family Law in California

Fathers rights

After having a relationship with a lady from oakland california she had a baby which i accept is mine. I have had a dna test which also confirms this. I send her 325 dollars a month and visit the baby twice a year. Is there anything else i should be doing in law to confirm and establish my rights as the childs father. The mother did not give the baby my surname and has not yet obtained a birth certificate. I am keen to obtain the maximum rights that the law will allow

Re: Fathers rights

from the facts given, you may want to strongly consider filing court documents that would establish your paternity and associated rights therein. its a fairly straightforward family law process and can be effectuated relatively quickly with attorney assistance. this would help establish and preserve your paternal rights legally. if you would like further assistance in this matter, email us directly today.

With the facts provided thus far, you should get a court order to establish visitation and custody rights. Call my office if you wish to discuss further. Warmest regards.
