Legal Question in Family Law in California
My fiance has been helping his ex with her child even knowing that it is not his child. We love her child very much. She gave the child his last name. And now has threatened us that she wants to get child support from us because she got angry because we couldnt watch her child for her. I was wondering if she can actually collect knowing it is not his child. And if she can since my fiance is currently unemployed and if we get married soon, will I have to pay the child support?

If the ex's child is not your finance's biological child and he never adopted the child, I have a hard time seeing how he can be put on the hook for child support. If she files a paternity action or a motion for child support, you should consider consulting an attorney in your area.
Unless HE has held the child out to the world as his own, she doen't have a leg to stand on.
