Legal Question in Family Law in California

HI, my fiance is paying alimony to his soon to be ex wife (nov is final). I have a 5 year old son and he will be main breadwinner for our family. When we get married will she be intitled to more alimony because of my income or can we pay less or none since he would be head of OUR household. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks,

Lalani

Unfortunately spousal support (there is no "alimony" in California) is not calculated on a strict formula the way child support is. An attorney would have to look at the Income and Expense declarations of both parties, as well as the other financial disclosures, and then look at how those might change when you marry, before we could say if any adjustment would be warranted.
