Legal Question in Family Law in California
I'm trying to figure out if the discovery deadline for my case has passed. How do I determine this?

Discovery usually is closed 30 days before the trial date. Discovery practice is a very complex area of the law and you should start to beef up on it through the local law library. A good resource in CA is the CEB books on civil procedure. You will need to examine all of the dates of the pleadings and trial dates to determine what types of discovery can you do and if it is still possible at this time.
For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.
As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
