Legal Question in Family Law in California

When you file a DV-Your to service and proof? I got nothing

I asked this before but didn't get it right. Now, I filed a DV on her, I had kids-told her to be there.

Then I get mine granted, I leave she comes in and files one, right behind me, no service no copy-only reason I found out is judge asked me, do I want to answer? I said what? Then I say yes, he asked me if I have an attorney, because I need one. Well...is this judge not seeing this or what?
