Legal Question in Family Law in California

Where should I file?

I married in April 2001 in Atlanta, GA to a California Resident. I moved to California in May 2001. Due to unforseen circumstances we seperated and I moved back to Atlanta in September 2001. Where I can file for divorce, since I have not been a resident in either state for 6 months? It is a divorce by fault. If I do file in a given state, I want to make sure there it applies to my husband in CA.

It sounds like you would have to file in CA. CA would have jurisdiction based upon the fact that he has lived here for last 6 months.
